Starting Out

When you recieve your starter deck, you recieve one card from your first choice deck, four random cards, and $10 Music Dollars! Your starter deck could include more if you read the rules carefully. ;D

Cards and Collecting

We have two main kinds of decks here at La Musica. Artist decks, which feature musical artists in all their glory; and Music Video decks, which are videos that have been screencapped and made into a pretty card deck!
Each deck consists of 20 beautiful cards made by Mysty. Here is a few samples of some of our cards currently in circulation. DO NOT TAKE these are only samples!

You can gain more cards by playing games, participating in contests, and from random freebies given out on the Message Board! If there are cards that you have that you don't want, you can always trade them!

Unique Deck Types

Aside from the standard Artist and Music Video decks (all worth 1) in circulation, there are a few special and unique decks available to be collected as well. It is important to know the different deck types so as to determine what cards to pick when choosing choice cards. There is no bonus to mastering any of these decks.

SPECIAL DECKS

The most common are the Special decks. Their value varies from 2-3, depending on the deck. Cards from these decks can easily be won from contests, and a few special games. Most have 20 cards per deck.

SPECIAL EVENT DECKS

Slightly rarer cards would be Special Event decks - which are usually released whenever we have some sort of celebration for an artist. These decks are usually worth 2-5, depending on the deck. There is no set number of cards in each deck, and they are usually a little bit harder to collect than normal special decks. Special Event decks will be noted as, "S. Event" under the "Deck Type".

RARE DECKS

Some of the hardest decks to collect are Rare decks. These can be won very rarely from games or contests, and are extremely hard to master. Rare decks for now include Commercial and Photobook decks - I will most likely be adding more deck types to go under this category later. Rare decks will always be worth 2, and deck sizes will vary depending on the deck. Rare decks will be noted with a pixel on the cards page next to the deck type. DO NOT request these cards as a choice card if for example your contest prize says, "Special Card (Worth 2)". You can only request these cards if it notes, "Rare Card" or "Commercial/ Photobook Card".

Trading

So you have a pesky card that you don't really want. What do you do with it? You trade it! You can find links to all the members of La Musica, as well as their first choice deck that they are currently collecting. Seek out other members and trade off cards you don't want for cards that you do want!

To trade, politely send an email or fill out their trade form (most traders have forms, although there are a few that don't) and offer them a trade. If they are good, active members, then they should respond rather quickly.

Be sure not to pester other members to trade you. If they say no or they do not ever send you an email back, that's a good indication that they may not be interested in trading. So move on and offer a trade to someone else. You can get in serious trouble if we get a report for harassment. So be a good member and don't harass other members! :)

Ranks and Leveling Up

La Musica has ranks that range from Level One through Ten. By gaining more cards, you rise in your level and recieve goodies for doing so! For leveling up, you will recieve two choice cards and three random cards!

Mastering a Deck

Once you collect all 20 cards in a deck, you master it! When you have mastered a deck, you will recieve a special master card and a few goodies for your hard work (two choice cards, three random, and $50 Music Dollars). The only way to recieve the goodies, though, is to fill out the mastered form located on the menu to the left. Once you've mastered a deck, you cannot trade the cards - otherwise you'll lose your mastery!

Music Dollars and Coupons

When you join, you automatically recieve $10 Music Dollars. Throughout the site, you can do various activities to get more Music Dollars (ex. Playing Games, Participating in Contests, etc.).

Here are what our music dollars and coupons look like. DO NOT TAKE these are only for display!

What do you do with all those? You take them to either the Music Store or the Card Shop and spend them of course!

Artist Spotlight

So what exactly is it? Well, it's somewhat of a chance to promote an artist around the site. Each month a new artist is chosen (to be put on the list of candidates, an artist MUST have an artist deck as well as at least one mv deck in circulation) to be featured. On the page we will offer information on the artist, a mini-gallery, and links to good videos on YouTube for members to watch! This idea is still under alot of work, but this is about all we have for now. :3
